Like through the eyes of a child

Do you remember when you were a child? Do you remember how almost anything seemed possible for that brief time - before you learned about all the rules and all the reasons why you can't and shouldn't even try. Before those nay-saying voices were joined and finally drowned out by your own little voice in your head telling not to bother, don't even try, what's the use?

Remember when you felt like you could touch the sky if you only stretched far enough and believed?

Well, beginning today I will again look at things through the eyes of a child. I will take all I have learned, all I have seen, all I have accomplished, all I have experienced, and I will look at everything new that comes my way through the eyes of a child. I will look for the possibilities and I will look for the opportunities with the hopeful eyes of a child.

I will use everything at my disposal to see what is too distant to see with the naked eye.

I will do whatever it takes to see the tiny, little things that I take for granted that are right under my nose.

I will look for the wonder and amazement in the simplest things, like a child seeing them for the first time. I will look for the humor in even the most mundane events.

And I will run with arms wide open toward the possibilities and opportunities that I will see coming my way, if I look through the eyes of a child.

I will run until I can fly. How about you?
