Hello everybody! I've missed you all while I've been taking a blogging break! (But I just couldn't resist sneaking a peek at a few blogs and leaving some comments while I was gone!) Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post and e-mailed me while I was absent. I always so enjoy hearing from you all.
Signs of Spring have finally arrived here in Wisconsin. The last of the snow melted on our front lawn one day last week when we actually saw temperatures in the 70s! We've had snow on the ground since last November, so I really welcomed this day. That same day we heard and saw our first robins! Robins have to be my favorite birds - I absolutely love to hear their song and eagerly await their return every year.
The crocuses in our back garden also came up last week and began to bloom over the weekend. It's cold and rainy today, so their little buds are closed, but here's a picture I took yesterday. It seems a bit pathetic when I see all the beautiful blooming things on the blogs of my warmer-weather blogging friends, but after the Winter we have had these crocuses are just what I needed! I've noticed the chives are poking their little heads out, too, and look forward to the fresh oniony taste of the first chives of the season.
I'll be back again soon. See you then!
